Privacy Policy

Dwell ("the app", "we", "us") is a web app for team workspaces, shared files, and billing, available at https://thedwell.site. It is operated by Arpit Meena. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, your name, and a hashed password if you sign up with email.
• Google sign-in: if you choose "Continue with Google", we receive basic profile information from Google through OAuth: your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or any other Google data.
• Files you upload: avatars and workspace files you choose to upload.
• Workspace and team data: workspace names, team memberships, roles, invitations, and notification preferences.
• Billing data (optional): if you upgrade a workspace, payments are handled by Stripe. We store subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers. Card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by the app.
• Technical data: session information, such as IP address, browser, and device type, used to keep your account secure and to show your active sessions.

How we use your information

• To create your account, sign you in, and keep your account secure.
• To run workspaces, share files with your team, and send invitations.
• To send account emails such as verification, password reset, and sign-in links.
• To process optional subscriptions and show billing status.
• To prevent abuse and fix problems with the service.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data.

Where your data is stored

Account, database, and file data is stored with Appwrite Cloud in its Frankfurt, Germany region. The app is hosted on Vercel. Payment processing, if used, is handled by Stripe. These providers process data only to deliver the service and under their own privacy and security commitments.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers listed above, with members of workspaces you join (for example your name and email), or when required by law.

Cookies

The app uses essential session cookies to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from the account settings, or ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing meenaarpit907@gmail.com. You can also ask for a copy or correction of your data at the same address.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS, uploaded files are encrypted at rest and scanned for malware, and access to files is limited to you and your workspace members. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
